GLOBALS CSR to fight COVID-19

May, 20, 2021, Bengaluru, Today Shri. Basavaraj Bommai, Hon. Home Minister of Karnataka along with Shri. V Somanna, Hon. Housing Minister of Karnataka and Shri. Byrathi Suresh, MLA of Hebbal Constituency inaugurated a 100 Bed COVID Hospital.

This was created as a part of a joint CSR initiative by Globals, a software multinational company based out of Bengaluru, Presidency University, Bengaluru and Rotary Club Manyata. Named as Project CoHeal, this initiative is a great example of organizations coming together to fight COVID.

This 100 bed COVID Hospital is a free facility for patients infected with COVID with mild to moderate condition.

The facilities available are 45 Oxygenated beds, 34 General Beds and 15 HDU’s, BiPAPS, Oxygen Concentrators imported from Russia, Food for Patients & Staff, Medicines, X-Ray, 24x7 doctors and nurses, Video Consultations and Ambulances. The hospital and medical support is provided by Suhas General & Charitable Hospital. The building is being provided by Rajiv Gandhi Medical Hospital. BBMP has supported and recognized this facility and will be soon available on BBMP’s portal.

It started as an idea by the Globals’ Management together with the Vice Chairman of Presidency and other passionate young professionals and entrepreneurs to be a part of the solution in these unprecedented times and lead from the front instead of blaming the situation. The facility was executed in a record time of 7 days

“As a mid sized company, we feel CSR of this scale is very ambitious but we could always achieve it through a Joint CSR with other organizations and closely working with Government to enable such Public Health Infrastructure and most importantly is to execute with a sense of urgency by re-purposing existing available resources. I am proud of my team at Globals to identify such resources and mobilising them.”, said Suhas Gopinath, CEO of Globals.
