About the Job Role:

As an Associate Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing practices. You will work closely with the testing team, developers and other stakeholders to design, execute and report test cases. Your expertise in both Automation and Manual Testing will contribute to the improvement of our testing processes, enabling us to deliver exceptional software solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools for regression, integration and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers and business analysts to understand project requirements, create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases to validate the functionality, usability and performance of software applications.
  • Identify and document defects with clear and reproducible steps, track issues and verify bug fixes.
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution and retesting of defects.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, non-functional, integration and end-to-end testing, as per the project requirements.
  • Continuously improve and optimize the testing process to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Proven 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automation testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, or similar.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python or JavaScript for test automation.
  • Solid knowledge of manual testing techniques and the ability to write clear and concise test cases.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking systems and test management tools.
  • Experience testing network applications and APIs.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work culture, sharing knowledge and assisting team members.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
