At this event, various eminent speakers interacted with the youth participants and some of the speakers included His Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankar, Chairman of IPCC Dr. Rajendra K Pachauri, Former Poland Prime Minister Mr. Jerzy Buzek, CEO Tata Services Mr. Doongaji, Chairman of Exide Industries Mr. Ganguly S B, and Mr. Suhas Gopinath, President of Globals Inc.   Mr. Suhas Gopinath now aged 21 years who is recognized as the Youngest CEO of the World for incorporating a company at the age of 14 years inspired the participants of this World Youth Forum on entrepreneurship and leadership, and called on the youth to be job creators. His Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankar spoke on the importance of spirituality and ethics for a sustainable success in leadership.   At the same event in the European Parliament on December 3, 2007, IAHV conferred the first Youth Leader Award for the year 2007 to Mr. Suhas Gopinath for being a dynamic role model to the youth and for inspiring them from his own success story where he hails from a non-business middle class family, and setup a multinational company that has offices in more than 11 countries. This award was presented to Mr. Gopinath by the Member of European Parliament and Chairman of European India Chamber of Commerce Mr. Nirj Deva along with H.H. Sri Sri Ravishankar. The week long anniversary celebration started on December 4, 2007 at their Corporate Office in Bangalore and was formally concluded on the Anniversary Day. This program included various cultural events like Singing, Dance Performance, and also included some indoor games during the week celebrations.   The Anniversary day was coordinated by Gayathri Kumar, Head - Finance & Accounting and announced the achievements of Globals in 2007 and one of the key achievements of Globals in the year 2007 was its presence in the United Nations Internet Governance Forum held at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Suhas Gopinath, CEO & President of Globals spoke about his experience at the European Parliament where he was honored few days back and about the successful accomplishments of the company where Globals had the opportunity to work on prestigious projects from the United Nations, Government of India, Fortune 500 companies, etc. On behalf of the management team of Globals, Suhas Gopinath conveyed that the reason for successfully completing seven years and for being a drastically growing company is the hard work and dedication contributed by every employee of Globals, and also acknowledged the contribution by all its ex-employees. He remarked that the Globals wouldn’t have been as successful as it is if it wasn’t its team spirit.   Vinay M N, COO & Senior Vice President of Globals shared his experience and the story of Globals on how it was started as a virtual office in a mere cyber café at Bangalore to a globally recognized multinational company with presence in 11 countries including its very major expansion in Europe by establishing its operations in Cologne, Germany which is currently headed by Ehsan Rehman. Vinay M N being the co-founder of Globals, noted the drastic growth Globals has exhibited and for being an inspirational company. He was also glad to announce that the company has started to recruit from the two most prestigious management institutions in Asia – Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad (IIM-A) and Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B) along with other technical Universities like Indian Institute of Technology (IITs). Vice President for Strategy and Marketing, Amruta Desai briefed the gathering about the future plans of the company that included further expansion in Europe by establishing offices in Poland, Belgium and The Netherlands. The company is already in the finalizing phase with its partner to setup operations in The Netherlands, as there is a huge potential for outsourcing in Dutch and French market. She also mentioned that Globals is very keen in venturing majorly in the IT Product Sector by launching few ERP based products for the Education and Finance domains along with its Web 2.0 Internet ventures.   This was followed by an Award Ceremony where Gopinath M R, Non-Executive Chairman of Globals gave the awards to Tak Lee and Reagan Thomas. Tak Guen Lee from South Korea, Senior Software Developer was conferred with “Overall Achievement Award”, and Reagan Thomas, Project Manager from India, was awarded as the “Best Employee 2007”. Mailkarjun Nellogi, from Apex Bank Limited awarded Erik Porsche, Trainee from Germany as “Best Technical Trainee for 2007” and Sanjay Kumar Lakra, Trainee from India as “Best Management Trainee for 2007”. The Guest of Honor Kashinath, who is renowned movie star from India, awarded Vani Ramu from the Business Development Team with an Appreciation Award.
